Brad successfully negotiated and completed all aspects of a new client’s purchase of a $2 million commercial property, which included an existing restaurant establishment. The legal services that were provided included the preparation of all of the purchase agreements, corporate documents, and SBA instruments. The interrelationship between the existing business, real estate, corporate structures, and financing protocols presented a series of challenging legal tasks.
In spite of the many unique transactional complications created by the consequential ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic, during this same period of time, Brad successfully represented a seller of his eight-location child daycare facilities operation, as well as a buyer of an ongoing and long-term energy rating service company, for the respective selling prices of $2.2 million and $6 million.
After more than three years of a heavily contested civil case involving a petition to partition a vacant parcel of real estate worth millions of dollars, Brad successfully designed and then implemented a strategy and closing transaction that accomplished a sale of the property hours before the property was scheduled to be sold at auction under an arrangement that was acceptable to all of the litigating parties and the presiding judge.
Brad was retained to collect a simple and straightforward placement fee of $10,000.00 for his client. When his efforts to collect these professional service fees were rebuffed and rejected without any legitimate basis, he did not hesitate to file suit and bring the case to trial. In the resulting judgment, and in the subsequent appeal, he successfully prevailed and obtained for the client an award of treble damages plus attorney’s fees, which amounted to a total value of over $60,000.00. Thereafter, he negotiated an advantageous final resolution of the case in order to avoid further payment delays, which eventuated in a $50,000.00 settlement.
